Helpful Information


Therapists maintain the confidentiality of all clients apart from mandated exceptions as stipulated by state law.  I will explain and clarify with each client the laws regarding confidentiality. In circumstances where we have agreed to share information with a third party I need to have your written agreement.


I am an out of net work provider, but am happy to provide a super bill listing  the dates and fees for your sessions should your insurance company accept this.  In these circumstances you pay me in full at the time of each session and subsequently you submit the bill for reimbursement from your insurance company.  Advantages of paying directly for therapy services, include:

  • There is no compromise of your confidentiality by the sharing of information with your insurance company. Your insurance records do not include information of your receiving mental health services.

  • There is no need for me to label you with a diagnosis to justify to your insurer that you are in need of services.

  • All decisions about the focus, frequency and duration of therapy are made by you and me, not by the insurance company.

Cancellation Policy

I have a 24 hour cancellation or reschedule policy otherwise missed appointments will be charged in full.

Payment & Fees

Payment is expected at time of service.  I accept cash and  check.  Payment by credit card is per request, and can be discussed at time of first session.  If you are in need of a sliding scale please ask. I hold two appointment slots for low fee clients.
